From the Forest
A. Variegated Solomon's Seal: Perennial, white flowers in spring, green and white striped foliage, part to full shade, 18-24" tall and wide, zones 3-8
B. Woodland Phlox: Perennial, lavender-blue flowers in spring, part to full shade, 8-16" tall and wide, zones 3-9
c. Coralbells 'Palace Purple': Perennial, white flowers in early summer, dark purple foliage, part shade, 6-18" tall, 10-24" wide, zones 4-9
I love this combination! Tons of interest all growing season. Flowers in the spring and then great layers of colorful foliage, which you can enjoy the rest of the year. You could add some spring bulbs like tulips and daffodils, too. Great for the woodland garden!
